LULU daily:

This may be good example that a stock is taken down end of day – before good news (earnings in this case). Tony talked about that phenomenon on 10-18-07. After closing @40.50 yesterday, LULU is trading @44.00 pre-market today.
LULU 11-28-07 (5-min):

I DO NOT understand, why the stock did not show up on the VolcanoMD scan yesterday. I checked history of that scan – no LULU.

nailed the gap close today, which almost makes up for the poor SPY projection.
got a little lower wick on the candle today.
DUG tests 42 S tomorrow, but closes with an indecisive doji. friday we get the move up toward the 200MA. tomorow we close above todays low, and friday we test NT resistance. crude is trading up overnight, so the bias may be for a lower opening.

Deleted this post from 11-20-07 by mistake.

Remarks: This biotech stock “survived” the bearish market environment. As Tony says: They have to put their money somewhere.
Trade management: Stop moved to 47.50 on 11-28-07 (intraday support level).

this is harder than i thought!
DUG gets sold bit to close the gap, but paints a little hammer bottom today. we gap up and roll thursday with a power move on volume. energy patch has been pretty strong and looks like it will be the last to correct.
BTW, signed charts will be available soon on my Calle Ocho gallery opening on August 6, 2008.

i took DUG long at just over 42 on Friday. not the best of entries, but i wanted to be hedged against a PB in crude. i should have added yesterday on a PB to the low 41s, but i chickened out. anyway, initial R/R is over $3. i sold 1/2 on the open near 45.50 – a little quick as i could have waited for R near 46. just a bit of channel surfing!
i figured out why i was having little success finding set-ups… long side bias. when we get a bounce, ill be looking more for short set-ups. been noticing many stocks being contained by the 20MA at BBand midpoint.

I was looking at the Intraday data (1 min and 5 min) for the S&P500 and SSO and decided to check out “classic times”. Thought I’d share this (See tablebelow)

Disclaimer:
Please note that this is just my interpretation of 9 days of data. Please Use and/or discard at your own discretion.
Notes:
- “Major directional change” is when higher highs/higher lows (or the opposite) changes direction
- “Secondary directional change” is to satisfy my curiousity as to why I often got knocked out of my trades in the early afternoon.
- 1st and final flip column – self explanatory
- Column 6 is where there is a price directional turnaround after 3pm
- Column 7 is where SSO volume increases to greater than EMA(20 bars) after 3pm. Seems to confirm Column 6.
- Blanks are where I can’t decide …
The above is probably well known to experienced traders … but I had to find out …
… enjoy …
